Boikai Cummings
Managing Partner
Boikai Cummings is a Managing Partner of Africa Capital Advisors (ACA) and the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of CIH Group LLC, a multi-asset family office investing across the U.S. and Africa, with a focus on FMCG and natural resource services (and select investments in technology). He leads investment strategy, manager relationships, and transaction execution across ACA’s mandate for African-based capital. Previously, he co-founded Invictus Africa Investment Partners, an Africa-focused private equity vehicle representing select African family offices, which invested in and exited more than 15 portfolio companies across West and Southern Africa, including partnerships with the National Basketball Association, MTN Group, and The Coca-Cola Company. Earlier roles include Shanduka Group, where he supported the acquisition of the Master Franchise rights for McDonald’s in South Africa, led post-transaction Africa expansion strategy, and co-managed the energy portfolio, and Monitor Group (now Deloitte), advising African governments and corporates on expansion and consolidation across Southern African Development Community countries. He holds a Business Administration degree from Morehouse College (Finance and Marketing focus) and has operating experience across Southern, West, and East Africa, including South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Lebogang Poonyane
Managing Partner
Lebogang Poonyane is a Managing Partner of Africa Capital Advisors (ACA) and the Co-Founder and Managing Director of BlueSky Capital, a mid-market private capital fund. He leads investment evaluation, execution, and portfolio governance, with experience spanning private capital and venture investing in South Africa. He previously served as a Venture Capital Fund Partner at Digital Africa Ventures Fund 1 and is a McKinsey & Company alumnus from the Johannesburg office, where he advised clients across Africa and in the U.S. and Europe on strategy and private equity engagements. He serves on various boards, including Clover, Abeco Tanks, and Global Capital Empowerment Private Equity Fund. He holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in China, a Chartered Marketer designation from Wits Business School, and senior executive education from Harvard Business School (Senior Executive Program for Africa) and Oxford University’s Saïd Business School (Africa Venture Finance Program). He is pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, targeting completion by 2027.
Mubarak Osman
Investment Manager
Mubarak Osman is an Investment Manager at CIH Group and an Associate on the Africa Capital Advisors (ACA) investment team. He supports deal sourcing, diligence, financial modelling, and transaction structuring across sectors, with a focus on disciplined underwriting and post-investment value creation. At CIH Group, he analyzes and recommends investment opportunities across diversified sectors, executes financial, commercial, operational, and risk diligence, and supports portfolio companies through governance and operational improvement initiatives. Previously, he was an Investment and Venture Building Associate at Factor[e] Ventures, where he developed venture concepts across energy, agriculture, and mobility, supported venture building across studio companies, and led grant funding initiatives. He also co-founded and led programs at The Fishbowl Challenge, a grant-funded global venture builder focused on Ag-Tech, Health-Tech, and clean energy. He has worked across Kenya and South Africa and supports ACA’s mandate to structure and diligence dollar-denominated private market opportunities for African-based capital.
